I’m a NaNo Winner!
Hi, there!
The Girl Who Broke The Rules (Working Title) – Update
I’m so pleased to say that I did it. I wrote 50,000 words for #CampNaNoWriMo during July and July is not even over yet!
Here’s evidence of today’s win:
Does the Happy Dance
I’m so pleased with myself I’ve danced a little jig, thrown confetti all over the place and haven’t stopped grinning since, but the hard work doesn’t stop here. I need 20-30k more words for a start, which I’m trying not to think too hard about (otherwise I might just run off screaming in the wrong direction and never come back!) lol
Despite my NaNo mammoth win, I cant take all the credit. I must give special thank you hugs to my two other camp members who were (and still are) really supportive and kept me going throughout; authors Devon Layne and Amy J Romine. We really work well together offering encouragement and plenty of rah-rahs along the way. Thank you, peeps, you’re the best!
So, what’s next?
I’ve set myself a goal to work on producing a complete first draft of about 70/80 k by the end of August. It’s a tough goal, and I’m not going to sweat about it too much, I just want to take one day at a time and do my very best.
So, that’s just what I’ll do.
Plus, I’m also (albeit slowly) working on a couple more projects in the background. More about those, soon.
Until next time, night-night! Sleep tight. Mind the bed bugs don’t…
Hugs,
